The Cross of Christ

The cross of Christ reverses every value:
what we call failure is renamed success, and vice versa,
what we call shame is renamed glory, and vice versa,
what we call death is renamed the source of new life.
It is the central icon or symbol of our Faith.

But by the death of Christ on the Cross,
the Cross now becomes a symbol of victory and salvation.
By His death we are healed and saved.
The Cross expresses the depth of God's love for us; that
"God so loved the world that He gave His only Son
that whoever believes in Him"
may "have eternal life."
Jesus gave His life for the salvation of the world.

As Christians we must be prepared to make some sacrifices for the good of others.
